Waterfront Ceremony at Vancouve Rowing Club

Amanda + Robb put together a romantic wedding with blush and cream tones. The wedding venue was at the Vancouver rowing club which embodies the west coast with water views next to the Stanley park. Romantic, soft, ethereal, and filled with love and a ton of fun!

You know when you meet someone (in this case, a couple), and they’re like, the sweetest people ever? Then, you meet Alfie, their  huge Newfie dog, and you’ve lost me in the fluff.

Truthfully though, working with Amanda + Rob was one of the loveliest weddings we did. From the first consult, to helping Amanda get out of the vintage car that delivered them all right to the aisle. They were surrounded by laughs, lots of love throughout the afternoon, and capped off the evening with fireworks.

MORNING

Amanda and her sweet entourage of ladies stayed at the L’Hermitage Hotel, in downtown Vancouver. They started their morning off with breakfast at the Medina Cafe, then made their way back to the hotel to get ready. Kerrie Law MUA + Lauren Mackie Bridal Makeup helped with their hair and makeup.

After Rob and his crew dropped off some items in the morning, they went back to the hotel to get ready. Our friends Isle and Oak Photography captured all those special behind the scenes moments! The gents got to enjoy their time at the Vancouver’s well known gem The Irish Heather in Gastown!

AFTERNOON

The ceremony was held on the patio at the Vancouver Rowing Club in Stanley Park. Amanda and Rob had a hand-made birch wood arch made to stand at the end of the aisle, accented with beautiful arrangements provided by Flower Factory. And what perfect way to arrive to your wedding but to arrive in style, with a vintage car from Alyn’s Vancouver Classics. But the best part of the Ceremony was actually – the rehearsal! When we lost the attention of all the Groomsmen to the ‘water puppies’ or sea lions splashing around the dock! Stay focused, Gents!

Afterwards, we all went across the park to a quiet area for bridal photos. And Rob, was eager to surprise Amanda with a tandem bike as a photo prop! Well, it went about as well as you could imagine, with her beautiful blush ball gown. So the Boys stepped in to save the photos and to capture what ended up being massive giggles from everyone, a few stares from tourists and three grown men snuggle to balance on the bike!

EVENING

Guests made their way from Cocktail hour on the back patio enjoying the west coast scenery, to include the Harbour Room. Amanda provided the honey favours and Flower Factory provided the fluffy Baby’s Breath centerpieces. Emelle’s Catering, one of the original catering companies in Vancouver, provided the delicious buffet dinner. The surprise dessert was a pie buffet!! We personally had to taste test some of the product – so delish! Finally, with the help of DJ Eddie from Airwaves Music for the ceremony music, cocktail hour and reception music, the guests partied ALLLL night long. The lights came on, and there were still guests on the dance floor!!

Finally, the evening ended with an amazing display of fireworks! They timed their day to coincide with the annual display of fireworks provided by Honda’s Celebration of Light in English Bay. It doesn’t matter who you are, fireworks are a SIGHT to see!
